With social media and the upcoming generation, there has been a lot of pressure on females, especially Latinas on the way they present themselves or in other words, their image, Every woman is almost in the usual distress of maintaining her size and hygiene. However, there are additional pressures presented upon Latina women in our community. For example, Patricia Valoy speaks of a certain situation where she is about to get married, In Latino culture, it was sort of a shame for females to have a lot of hair on their bodies. Patricia's family was shaming her and wanted to change everything about her including all of the hair on her body, Certain Latino culture requires females to present themselves a certain way and that is not acceptable. If an individual wishes to change an aspect about their body it should be because they fully want to but not because it is some spanish standard and status quo that they have to live up to.
